Dysnomia Films is the label and production company under which Alex writes and directs his own films. He has made numerous shorts and two feature length productions under the lavel.

Good For Nothing Blues is the second feature film by Dysnomia Films. It’s the story of Calvin and his dole bludging mates who, after a lotto win, invest their winnings in drugs and gambling. They soon find themselves in a web of drugs, debts, gangs and cops, and Calvin must decide where his loyalties lie to help him make it through and find a place in life where he is valued.

Made for $12,000, Good For Nothing Blues has had 6 screenings and been accepted into 6 festivals including Malibu Film Festival and Melbourne Underground Film Festival.

 

Subject 36 is the story of an isolated woman with an obsession with stalking and studying the lives of strangers. When she gets a little too close to one of her subjects and finds herself in a relationship, her detached view of other people begins to break down, and she starts doubting the ethics of her secret hobby. She also can’t help but suspect there is more to this man than meets the eye.

Part drama, part romance, part thriller, Subject 36 is a genre straddling character study that is sure to entertain.
